Westmorland Sheepskins was started by Howard Heaton around 1980 in the old county of Westmorland in the North of England. This was an off shoot of the family business ‘Heatons’, manufacturing sheepskin jackets and leather products, that had spanned over 130 years in Leeds.
Five generations of Heatons have now worked with, handled and traded in raw skins, wool and leather materials. With that in mind we like to think we know what we are talking about.
The majority of the products we sell are designed and made in Great Britain or within the EU. This allows us to offer our customers great quality products at reasonable prices, while feeling good about supporting home grown and local businesses and the environment.
